Marks & Spencer unveils its Autumn Winter Collection 2010
New Delhi, September, 2010 - Marks & Spencer Reliance India launches its Autumn Winter Collection 2010 across all its stores in India. The new collection sees a move to a more sophisticated and muted colour palette that makes the key trends seem ultra modern. The silhouette for the season is generally structured and defined. Layering is important, mixing fabric and texture to create different looks and moods.
The key looks for womenwear include Minimal, Nifty Thrifty, Preppy, Nomad and Military. It has three sub-brands with distinct looks: Limited, a fashion forward label, offers a contemporary look while Autograph, sophisticated and stylish, offers timeless pieces in luxury fabrics and cuts. Per Una the designer boutique brand offers a smart casual collection and the latest Indigo collection lets you get a differentiated everyday smart & casual look. The womeswear range starts from Rs395.
Key trends for womenswear includes elements like lace prints, lingerie trims, corsetry, embellishments, zip details and metal studs. Look out for these trends in formalwear and Per Una.
Marks & Spencer lingerie this season sees some contrasting influences with the growing trend of ‘worn to be seen’ alongside sophisticated and glamorous vintage-inspired pieces. The key pieces include a beautiful velvet bodice with internal boning and camisoles, bustiers, lace tunics, slinky bodies and cami bras. The Glamour look is influenced by both contemporary and vintage directions to create glamorous and beautiful boudoir inspired pieces.
New innovations for Autumn in lingerie include: Perfect Fit memory foam bras, Secret support magic knickers, thigh-slimming skinny jean shorts, Ultimate Magic Secret Support footless tights and heat generating thermals.
The highlight of the collection is Multiway Bras that can be worn in 5 different ways designed for a comfortable flattering fit, secure support and great flexibility. M&S lingerie also features Angel Bras for teens starting from Rs.795 for a pack of two.
The menswear range has three key themes for Autumn/winter. Grey is the dominant colour of this season’s collection used across overcoats, cotton basics, trousers and ties. The layering trend continues this season but with a sophisticated edge. The brands within the menswear range
include Autograph, Collezione, Blue Harbour, North Coast and Tailoring. Marks & Spencer also offers a footwear range- the collection has some great styles that combine elegance, comfort and practicality. Menswear formal shirts start from Rs 695 whereas the casual polo tees are priced Rs 395.
M&S has lined up a colourful AW Home collection featuring vases, filled candles in shades of red, purple,turquoise with highlights of gold for Diwali. The new range of photo frames come in bone, silver and red enamel starting from Rs 795. Vases start from Rs 395 while filled candles start from Rs 495 making perfect gifts for loved ones and friends. Artificial flowers can be bought for Rs 995.The range also showcases Silk Road vases and candle holders ranging from Rs 895 to Rs 1995.
Also introducing for AW is a range of Barware that includes an ice bucket, cocktail shaker, wine cooler, decanter and full bar set which is perfect for home entertaining or gifting. The Barware range starts from Rs.1195.
M&S much loved accessories collection has something for everyone from bright coloured scarves to gloves and caps to keep winter at bay. The washed Canvas bag, holdall have been added for the outdoor look. Metal studs and surface stitching are seen in the collection. M&S also features an exciting range of beauty and bath products with a starting price point of Rs 245 for women and Rs 295 for men.
