Marks & Spencer expands footprint - opens 20th store in India
M&S patrons and CEO sashay down ramp at Fashion Connect Grand Finale
New Delhi, November 27, 2010: Marks & Spencer is celebrating its new store opening at DLF Promenade Mall, Vasant Kunj in New Delhi with a special catwalk show. To mark the opening of Marks & Spencer's 4th in Delhi, the retailer hosted the Grand Finale of 'Fashion Connect' -a fashion show that saw Marks & Spencer customers walk the ramp donning the latest Autumn/Winter Collections, alongside seasoned models and Martin Jones, CEO, Marks & Spencer Reliance India.
Trading over two floors, the 14,000 square feet store is one of Marks & Spencer's largest stores in India. The store offers an international shopping experience with an extensive range across all categories- womenswear, including beauty products and accessories, menswear, children's clothing and lingerie - all at great value. A selection of home ware is also available.
Marks & Spencer took its mantra of Style for Real People a notch higher by getting its patrons to sashay down the ramp along with Martin Jones, CEO, Marks & Spencer Reliance India and professional models. The brand evangelists who became the face of Marks & Spencer fashion were chosen by the retailer through a promotional campaign run at its store in DLF Promenade.
The 'Fashion Connect' Grand Finale saw the latest collection transcend from the Marks & Spencer store onto the runway. Some of the top models like Krishna Somain & Alisha Paika, along with select loyal customers lit up the catwalk dressed in Marks & Spencer fashion wear. Martin Jones, CEO, Marks & Spencer Reliance India also gave many fashionistas a run for their money.
Speaking about the opening, Martin Jones, CEO, Marks & Spencer Reliance India commented, "We are delighted to launch our 4th store in Delhi for the fashionable Delhiites.
